Player Name: Batty

Character Name: Falin Touden
Canon: Dungeon Meshi
Canon Point: Post-Canon, after turning down Toshiro's proposal
Character Age: 23? She may be 24 they aren't clear how much time passed
Info: Wiki
Personality:
While Falin is known to cast resurrection skills, this will not be applicable for the game. Canon itself already nerfs this ability by making it unusable outside of a dungeon. However I will ask if she can have her lantern staff. While it's not exactly necessary for her magic, it does serve as a blunt force weapon since it's actually just a metallic mace. All of Falin's magical expertise is in support spells, so any damage-dealing from her will be simple & physical.

Personality:
✔ Perseverance/Resilience: If there's anything admirable about Falin it's her ability to continue against all odds. After being eaten, influenced by magic to hurt her friends and family, and her body changed drastically, not once did she ever consider continuing to survive in the face of adversity. Even when the Winged Lion offered the chance for her to rest peacefully at the end.Suitability:
✔ Level Headed: Falin has an incredibly laid back nature, and as such this helps her keep a calmer mood and measured stake in what's happening. Sometimes in lighthearted moments she'll get whipped up in someone else's heightened emotions, but typically she's known for being oddly put together in moments of elevated tension.
✔ Compassionate: The care and lengths that Falin takes to be kind to others and extend her help makes Falin well-liked in group settings that typically face gruesome challenges. From putting in more work to make sure her team is protected to going the extra mile to dull her patients' pain while she heals them, others tend to trust in her and her abilities. When she even goes as far as to extend this kindness to spirits who have already passed on, this solidifies her earnestness even with the most skeptical of adventurers.
✗ Distractable: Unfortunately Falin is unendingly curious, and this often leads to distraction. Her boundless, child-like wonder that has her wishing to travel the world and experience new things can be a detriment. Accidents like walking into traps or failing to notice minute but critical details could sometimes put her and her teammates in danger.
✗ Doormat: On the extreme end of Falin's compassion is her rock-bottom self esteem and inability to speak up against strong opinions of others. While post-canon Falin does mention wanting to indulge in more of her "selfish" side (airing out her own opinions that might conflict with others) she has a whole life of rolling over for other people so that she (her thoughts, wants, opinions, desires) is not a burden on them.
✗ Self-Sacrificing: Twisting her compassion and low self-esteem to its darkest point, Falin is self-sacrificing. Deeming all existence precious, even that of spirits and insects, Falin has a high regard for the lives of others. While she may prioritize her friends and family when it comes down to the wire, she doesn't have the same regard for herself. Which is why when push comes to shove she'll gladly take action to save someone else — even if that means risking or forfeiting her own skin.
▶ Magic: Falin is a magic user taught in the ways of "gnomish" magic. Gnomish magic relies on the natural state of things and harnessing the elemental power that already exists in the world - working with nature rather than against it. Falin specializes in: healing, protection, and exorcism. Her other skills include: displacement and pain blocking.Any Additional Info:
▶ Strength: After fusing with the dragon, Falin gained a few assets. One of them being a surprising level of strength — having been shown taking down a cockatrice virtually by herself in one of the post-canon extras.
▶ Previous Experience:○ Death & the Undead - While Falin may not have dealt with the exact same type of zombies, she does have experience with reanimated corpses. Falin's ability to sense, see, and interact with spirits made her the most composed and willing to interact with these zombies. This is because they were usually a result of spirits possessing the bodies of severely injured adventurers who had yet to be resurrected. She herself has had more than one instance of dying in her life — having been resurrected herself a few times, and even "coming back wrong" when she was brought back using dragon meat to replace the flesh on her bones after being eaten.
○ Dungeon Delving - As an adventurer, Falin is well acquainted with the idea of working in teams with people who are much different than her. Most of this experience is from dungeon exploration, and as such she has a resume of rationing supplies, mending clothes and weapons, tending to wounds, and juggling responsibilities to help keep her and her team safe. This makes it so she would likely only need a small adjustment period before being able to perform well with a group that is constantly on the move, and for a prolonged period of time.
